Child Safeguarding Statement, Policy and Procedures Implementation Workshop – Pilot

Dear Service Provider ,

The National Child Safeguarding Programme, in conjunction with Tusla, are running a pilot of the Child Safeguarding Statement, Policy and Procedures Implementation Workshop and they are particularly interested in piloting this programme with ELC and SAC services in order to inform us of its suitability for the ELC/SAC sector.

This programme is specifically for the Provider of a Relevant Service and the Relevant Person in ELC/SAC services.

A Provider of a Relevant Service – as per the Children First Act 2015, is someone who employs, contracts with or permits one, or more than one other person, to undertake any work or activity that constitutes a relevant service.

A relevant person – as defined in the Children First Act 2015, ‘means a person who is appointed by a provider of a relevant service to be the first point of contact in respect of the provider’s Child Safeguarding Statement’.

The Implementation Workshop Pilot will take place on

Monday 16th October in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone from 11am -3pm

There will be space for 20 participants on the pilot and places will be prioritised for services who have the provider of the relevant service and the relevant person available to attend. Please see attached invitation for further information.

If you are interested in participating in the pilot, please contact Bridgid Casey on 0858446277 by Tuesday 3rd October 2023.

Kind regards

DCCC
