Core Funding supports Partner Services with their financial sustainability while enhancing the quality, affordability and accessibility of their services. In accordance with Partnership for the Public Good, (DCEDIY 2021) the new Core Funding model commits to drive high-quality service provision. To support this, Core Funding requires all early learning and care (ELC), school-age childcare (SAC) and childminding services that benefit from Core Funding to complete a quality planning template, using tools provided here, to compile their Core Funding Quality Action Plan.

When you have read through the guidance document, and completed steps 1 and 2 of the Core Funding Quality Action Planning Process (i.e., reflected on and evaluated current practice and identified actions to improve quality) click the following link to access the template:

Having submitted your response please remember to PRINT and SAVE your Quality Action Plan as a PDF before closing out of the template, then upload the saved Core Funding Quality Action Plan (PDF document) to the ‘My Service Profile’ on the HIVE system for validation.
A copy of the Core Funding Quality Action Plan should also be displayed in your service in a location that is accessible to parents.
