Supporting your child’s positive mental health and wellbeing in their early years

Greetings from the National Parents Council. As parents, we all would want to encourageand promote positive mental health and wellbeing in our children.

‘The environment that a child grows up in and the relationships that a child has with their parents in the first five years of life is very important to the development of a child’s long term positive mental health.’ 

National Parents Council Primary has worked in partnership with St Patricks Mental Health Services to develop a programme to support parents to support their young child’s positive mental health and wellbeing at home.

Sessions will be taking place online via Zoom the weeks of the 2nd and the 9th of October 2023. Select the time and date from the link provided below.

•        Meeting your child’s needs- how everyday life can impact positively on your child’s mental health
•        Coping when things don’t go your way! Helping your child understand and manage their emotions, dealing with challenges
•        Developing and nurturing your relationship with your child
