The Model Creche was established in February 1999. Our facility has been purposely designed and adapted to meet the needs of and early growth and development of young children. Our team of staff are highly qualified, skilled and experienced. They continue to engage in ongoing continuous professional development ensuring their capabilities keep pace with the current standards. All staff and any students on placement here have child protection training and are Garda vetted. We currently have 7 playrooms providing care to children. These range from our baby room for children under two years, a toddler room and 2 full daycare preschool rooms, 1 part daycare preschool room and 2 sessional preschool rooms which also provide School Age Childcare. Each room has its own toys and equipment suitable for the children’s age and stage of development. Our Curriculum approach is guided by Aistear. It’s goal is to equip children with attributes and skills to succeed and prosper in their lifelong learning journey. Our pre-school sessions which are free under the ECCE Scheme operate from 9am to 12pm daily. We have our own onsite kitchen and our chef’s work with the staff team to ensure they provide your children with a balanced and healthy diet tailored to accommodate any allergen or dietary requirements. The Model Creche is situated in the rural surroundings on the outskirts of Letterkenny on the Leck commuter route. We have 4 individual outdoor areas and an enclosed decking for our babies. This includes a safe and secure softpour play area .Our playground is custom designed for the pre-school age with the type of playground equipment you would find in a local park. Whilst in the outdoors children have access to a toilet.
