The Learning Tree in Kilmacrennan was established in 2019. We are a part- time service that provides both a morning and afternoon ECCE session, we also provide an afterschool service for school age children, which includes breakfast club, 2pm-3pm school hour and and afternoon session. We cater for children ages 2 years and 8 months – 12 years.

We are committed to providing an excellent standard of care for the holistic development of your child/children. Our mission is to build a foundation of learning that will enable the children to become lifelong learners. We are committed to providing a quality child centered, play based environment which will empower young children to actively pursue their own learning. We operate under the principles of Siolta the National Standards for Pre-school services and Aistear the pre-school curriculum, planning an emergent curriculum focusing on being responsive to the children’s interests to create meaningful learning experiences. We use ‘Mosaic’ app to document the children’s learning journey.

All staff members are highly trained and are continually upskilling in professional development. All staff members are qualified as first aid responders and child protection.
