Auto-enrolment retirement savings scheme – My Future Funds – Information for Employers

The Department for Children, Disability and Equality is planning a bespoke online information session, in conjunction with the Department of Social Protection, on auto-enrolment for ELC and SAC service Owner/Managers. 

The session will provide an overview of the employer responsibilities in administering the scheme. 

This online information session will take place on Monday 3 November 2025 at 2pm. 

Owner/Managers who wish to attend are asked to register their interest by sending an email to Nurturingskills@dcde.gov.ie

For those who are unable to follow the live event, a recording will be made available.

The Minister for Social Protection has announced that the collection of contributions for the auto-enrolment system, called MyFutureFund, will begin from 1 January 2026.

Auto-enrolment is a new retirement savings scheme for employees who do not already have a workplace pension scheme or an additional pension arrangement.

The Department of Social Protection is responsible for the introduction of the scheme and they have prepared a range of resources for both employers and employees on Auto-enrolment.
