Early Childhood Ireland is about to begin two pieces of research concerning Childminding in Ireland.
The research is funded by the Department of Children, Disability and Equality and aims to better understand the valuable work of childminders and children’s experiences in home-based care.
The two separate research projects will look at:
- Children’s and childminders’ experiences of mixed age groups in a home setting
- Childminders’ perspectives and application of Aistear and Síolta in practice
Childminders can choose to take part in one of the two research projects listed above. Early Childhood Ireland will collate the data and report on the findings in a report which will include recommendations that will shape future Childminding policy and practice.
