DCCC is excited to invite you to join one of our Updating Aistear Information Evenings happening throughout County Donegal. These events are designed to provide valuable insights and practical information for early years educators relating to the changes to Aistear in 2024.
A copy of the updated document will be available and is limited to 1 per service.
Key Details: The information evening will aim to:
- Provide an overview of the updates and new language introduced in the revised Aistear framework.
- Support early years educators in understanding your roles and responsibilities in relation to the updates.
- Provide guidance on how your service can continue to use Aistear effectively for planning learning activities.
Following the launch of the updated Aistear framework in 2024, educators will have a year to familiarise themselves with the changes. The formal implementation of Aistear 2024 is expected to begin in settings such as preschools and full-day care services in September 2025.
It is important to note that these updates build upon the original Aistear framework, which provides a strong foundation for enhancing knowledge about the learning and development of babies, toddlers, and young children.
