Donegal County Childcare Committee (DCCC) is currently supporting Donegal Youth Service and Donegal Children’s and Young People’s Services Committee to gather data for research in County Donegal, and they’ve reached out to you, the ELC service’s to assist with data collection.

We understand your time is valuable, so we wanted to provide you with some information about the project before you decide on your participation.

Project Details:

• The research is seeking information on the views of the children in your care on what it’s like growing up and living in Donegal.
• Your participation will involve supporting the children aged 0-4 years in your service to  complete a short template with 3 research questions.  Answers can be written and/or drawn.
• The estimated time commitment is 15-20 mins per group of children to complete the template. 

Benefits of Participation:

• Your input will be crucial in ensuring the voice of the youngest children in your community is heard in this research. 

How to Participate:

• If you’re interested in participating, all the information including templates and samples are included in the attached booklet. We have attached the Needs Assessment Template separately to make it easier for you to photocopy and complete with the children. 

Submission to be made to Donegal County Childcare Committee via email or post by Friday 2nd August 2024.
